PHHS CHEER - OUR PURPOSE
Patrick Henry High School's Cheer Team strives to develop student athletes who support their school through spirit, leadership, and service to their community. Our Cheerleaders are athletes who hold themselves to the highest standards of conduct on and off the field, working to promote school spirit, a strong work ethic and lead by example. Henry Cheerleaders are exemplary students and athletes.

SELINA JIMENEZ is the Head Varsity Coach at Patrick Henry High School! Selina was born and raised right here in San Diego. She has extensive experience both coaching and competing in cheer. As an athlete, she was a JV and Varsity cheer captain at Bonita Vista High School, a California Allstars athlete for several years, and a decorated cheerleader at Southwestern Community College, and she is currently on the PBA Worlds Team. As a coach, Selina has been the Program Director at Pacific Beach Allstars since 2017. She has also assisted in organizing and leading multiple cheer camps. Cheerleading has been a central constant in Selina’s life. As a high school athlete, cheerleading was a grounding and motivating force for her. Drawing from her own experience, she knows how much of a difference the sport can make in the lives of young athletes. She is now looking to inspire the cheerleaders of Patrick Henry the same way she once was. Outside of cheerleading, Selina holds a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach. She currently works as an Operations Manager with an ecommerce business. In her free time, she is a passionate about fitness and food, and loves sharing those experiences with close friends and family.
CHENNA BAISCH is the Junior Varsity Coach for Patrick Henry High School! Chenna was born and raised in Santa Maria, California and her love of cheerleading grew at her local gymnastics and cheer gym. She was 10 years old when she began all star cheer and began to train in gymnastics. Chenna began junior coaching for her all star program when she was 13 years old and then started working as a recreational cheer and gymnastics coach for her training facility, KT’s All Star Gymnastics. During her time at KT’s gymnastics center, Chenna helped start up a special needs class for those with disabilities to train and learn gymnastics. Chenna has three years of sideline cheer experience with the two universities she attended, Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Point Loma Nazarene University. After settling in San Diego, Chenna joined a Level 6 Worlds Team and competed on that team for three seasons. Chenna has officially retired as an athlete and has committed to coaching full time. She works as the Tumbling Director for Pacific Beach All Stars and runs the higher level teams as well as PBA’s own Worlds Team. Aside from cheerleading, Chenna has a Bachelors in Psychology with an emphasis in Law and Physical Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and spending time outdoors.
Breanna Guzman
Assistant Coach
BREANNA GUZMAN is the Assistant Cheer Coach at Patrick Henry High School! Breanna is a San Diego native and has 10+ years of cheering and coaching experience. She has experience in pop warner, high school, college, and all star cheer. Aside from coaching Breanna carries an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Math and Science, a CNA license and is currently working on her esthetician license. In her free time you can find her behind a camera capturing candid moments with her loved ones. Cheer brought her out of her shell and has shaped her into the person she is today and she will forever be grateful for that. Cheerleading has shown her what it means to be a leader, how special it is to be a part of a team, and most importantly helped her find her voice. She knows that her coaching/mentoring cheerleaders will be a positive light in their lives, providing them with support and guidance throughout their high school experience.
